Owners Matt and Elizabeth (Team H Adventures) have spent years ghost hunting some of the most notorious paranormal locations in the country and are excited to put THE HUMBIRD on the paranormal map!​ Please read our hotel and ghost hunting rules and policies prior to booking. ​Owners Matt and Elizabeth (Team H Adventures) have spent years ghost hunting some of the most notorious paranormal locations in the country and are excited to put The Humbird on the paranormal map!​​​ The evening will include the following, with breaks in between to use restrooms and recoup: ​3-6pm - Check in to your hotel room 6pm - Bar & Grill closes to the general public 7-8pm – Meet and Greet with complimentary food and drink. An introduction to the history of The Humbird and stories from our paranormal team regarding their experiences in the property and throughout the years in places like the Lizzie Borden House, The Conjuring House, The Sallie House, Trans-Alleghany Asylum and more! 8-9pm – A tour of the property led by longtime employee and friend of The Humbird, Sue Zecherle! She will share her many paranormal experiences while guiding you through the different levels of the property. Followed by a hands-on introduction to ghost hunting equipment, best practices and techniques. 9-11pm – THE HUNT! You will hunt four different locations in THE HUMBIRD: 1) North Wing Suites, 2) South Wing Rooms, 3) The Bar, 4) The Basement. 11pm – Midnight – FREE HUNT! You will have access to all hotel rooms, the bar and the basement during this time. 12am-on - You may continue to ghost hunt or retire to your room for the evening, whichever you prefer! Continental Breakfast will be served in our Concession Room in the morning. ​All attendees MUST book a room in the hotel in order to participate. The cost of the ghost hunt is included into the room price on the dates listed. CHILL ADULT EASTER HUNT

It's a Chill Adult Easter Egg Hunt - Inside! Leave your running shoes at home! No need to run, push or shove as we will be quietly hiding eggs around our bar for the majority of the day. Eggs will contain everything from candy to tokens for free beer, free drinks & free food! To make sure no one becomes a greedy meanie and hoards the goods, we are limiting egg prize redemption to three tokens per person. This is not a dash and grab! This is a chance to "I Spy" with your eyes around our bar for a little something extra while you hang with great friends in a chill atmosphere. Removal or tampering with any decor or bar property is strictly prohibited always and voids any prize redemption. Come and hop on down to our place on Easter and maybe you'll spot an egg or two just for you!

Let's Horse Around! Donne your bowties, big hats, and saddle up for our Kentucky Derby Party! It's our location's traditional long-standing Derby viewing party! Come dressed to impress as prizes will be handed out for the Best Dressed and the Best Hat. Starting at 4pm, the first 20 people in the door will be given the opportunity to Spin the Wheel to be assigned a horse to cheer on for the win! Come in and see us for further details. We'll be serving Kentucky Hot Brown Sliders for nibbles and encourage potluck participation. Enjoy an Old Fashioned with traditional Kentucky Bourbons Maker's Mark or Woodford Reserve (the official drink of the derby). At approximately 6pm when the race is over, we'll ride into the evening with LIVE MUSIC courtesy of ROCK-A-BILLY RIOT! This high energy 3-piece band is guaranteed to make you want to kick up your heels! It's the late 1800's deep into frontier territory. Everyone is flocking to Rock River to mine for gold and make their fortunes. The booze is flowing in the saloon and the town is bustling with activity until.....a body of a prospector is found on the floor! Whodunnit? That's up to you to figure out before the sheriff comes to town! Join us as we continue our Overnight Murder Mystery Dinner Parties! The evening will include the following: *3-6pm - Check in to your hotel room *5pm - Bar & Grill closes to the general public *6pm – Cocktail Hour. Meet your fellow pioneers. Each one will receive secret traits that could help or hinder the investigation. *7pm – Appetizers are served and the investigation starts *8pm - The Main Course is served and the first set of clues are revealed *9pm - Dessert is served and more clues are revealed *10pm - Coffee, After Dinner Drinks, accusations and the Finale! *Continental Breakfast will be served in our Concession Room in the morning. Prizes will be given for Best Costume, Best Acting and Best Detective! So come in your best hat and boots, get into your character and be top sleuth! This event is limited to 12 people. Once 12 people are booked in the hotel, any rooms still available will be blocked out. As the date for the event draws near, we will email all attendees their character information, so you can dress & prepare accordingly. We will also inquire about any food allergies to insure all those in attendance can enjoy the meal without concerns. We are able to create alternate endings to the story, so if the event sells out, we can host it again without any spoilers! The price to attend the event is incorporated into the cost of the rooms on the date in our booking system. No additional fees apply with the exception of any bar drinks. You will hunt four different locations in THE HUMBIRD: 1) North Wing Suites, 2) South Wing Rooms, 3) The Bar, 4) The Basement. 11pm – Midnight – FREE HUNT! You will have access to all hotel rooms, the bar and the basement during this time. 12am-on - You may continue to ghost hunt or retire to your room for the evening, whichever you prefer! Continental Breakfast will be served in our Concession Room in the morning. ​All attendees MUST book a room in the hotel in order to participate. The cost of the ghost hunt is included into the room price on the dates listed. If you book a room on our OVERNIGHT GHOST HUNT dates and do not want to participate, your reservation will be moved to a different date. These nights are reserved for ghost hunting only. ​Ghost hunting is a physical activity and rules do apply. You will need to sign a standard Paranormal Liability Waiver to participate. Please review all hotel and ghost hunting policies on our website prior to booking. All reservations must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance. No walk-in attendees will be allowed into the event. If these dates sell out, additional dates will be added. ​If you want to Ghost Hunt our property but are unable to attend the dates specified, our property is available for private bookings.
